Trained as a hospital chaplain, versed in the world’s religions as an Interspiritual minister, and a wedding industry veteran (15 years as a photographer in the Boston area), I am uniquely positioned to guide couples during the transformative time of their engagement.
As a woman who married a woman in 2012 (meaning, before DOMA was struck down and same-sex marriages were not federally recognized), I also know the emotional labor of not fitting the mold. And not even wanting a mold, but just a sense of welcome and belonging. Us queer and LGBTQ+ couples have always had to ask bigger questions. I believe that ALL couples should be asking themselves many of the same questions.
